Hello 2024!
Hey all! It’s been a while since I posted an update, so here’s a quick look at everything I’ve got in the pipeline.
Now that I’m no longer writing romance (just mysteries and women’s fiction), my release schedule has slowed down quite a bit. For the foreseeable future, you can expect 1-2 releases per year rather than the standard 4-5 that I’ve been doing. This is a good thing for both my life and my work, and I couldn’t be happier with the arrangement.
First up is the release of THE LIBRARY OF BORROWED HEARTS on April 30. This book is companion to THE LONELY HEARTS BOOK CLUB in that you’ll find a similar vibe (all things literary! library! curmudgeonly!), but it is very much a standalone with its own characters, world, and plot.
I’m super excited to be participating in a few events this year with The Traveling Book Bus, an AMAZING mobile bookstore run by indie bookseller extraordinaire Anne Zastrow. On May 18, she’ll be holding an official grand opening in Yakima, and I’ll be there to sign books and meet readers. In the meantime, she has lots of my signed bookplates ready to go, so please visit her site if you’d like a signed copy of my books.
I have it on good authority that the Ashland Mystery Festival will be happening again this year, and that I’ll be one of the authors back in attendance. This event doesn’t happen until October, so I don’t have many details yet, but I’ll post as they become available.
There are more Tamara Berry coming! Release dates and details are still being hashed out, but you can expect MURDER RUNS IN THE FAMILY, my next mystery, to be out in the world in spring of 2025. It features a wannabe private investigator who is forced to live in her grandmother’s retirement community (because, life) and who, naturally, stumbles across a murder while she’s there.
The are also more Lucy Gilmore books on the way! My 2025 Lucy Gilmore release doesn’t have a title or release date yet, but it’s already finished and in my editor’s capable hands. It features two feuding sisters who are bequeathed their family’s “lucky” ring, which bestows true love on whomever possesses it. Only…neither one of them wants anything to do with it! Sisterly shenanigans ensue as they pass the ring back and forth, determined to eschew love in all its forms for as long as possible.
I think that’s all I have for now, but rest assured that there are many other (secret and not-so-secret) plans underway. Until then, happy reading!
